Job summary

Raymond James is seeking an Operations Manager for our Chattanooga branch. You will learn to manage overall operational efficiency, ensure compliance with firm and regulatory policies, and support day-to-day branch functions through training and collaboration with home office teams.

You will supervise operations staff, back up critical processes, and drive cost control while maintaining high standards of client service. A Series 9/10 path may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in a related field and a minimum of one year experience in the financial services industry, preferably supervisory experience.
• Equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training as approved by HR.

Responsibilities

• Become trained and skilled to function in the Operations Manager role.
• Performs back-up for all operational functions as required by workloads and absences.
• Coordinate branch-home office workflow with home office personnel.
• Complete self-audit of branch procedures.
• Assist Branch Manager with confidential matters and compliance visits and responses.
• Assist Branch Manager with controlling expenses and operating at peak efficiencies.
• Oversee ordering of supplies, purchase orders and postage usage.
• Review branch invoices and operating statements.
• Maintain branch operational manuals.
• Research and resolve complex problems relating to client accounts and inquiries.
• Assist Branch Manager in disseminating information at regular branch meetings.
• Coordinate rent, facility, office maintenance and security issues.
• May perform Branch Manager duties if Series 9 & 10 licensed.
• Recruit, train and supervise branch operations associates.
• Conduct performance management and salary reviews with Branch Manager.
• Review daily work of operations staff to maintain efficient workflow.
• Ensure staffing levels and cross-training are adequate.
• Coordinate registrations, continuing education, licensing for branch personnel.
