Job summary

American Bank in Montana is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in leading daily operations and delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires 2–5 years of supervisory banking experience, a HS diploma or GED, and knowledge of bank products. A Montana Notary Public is preferred, with potential acquisition within 6 months. The position is office-based with standard banking hours.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 2–5 years of supervisory experience in banking, retail, or financial services.
• Preferred degrees include Associate's/Bachelor's in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or Management.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance, audits, scheduling, and branch operations strongly preferred.
• Notary Public in Montana or ability to obtain within 6 months is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Represent American Bank professionally while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Assist the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations and staff activities.
• Coordinate scheduling and opening/closing procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain knowledge of bank products to assist customers and staff development.
• Open and service deposit accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs).
• Process consumer lending products including HELOCs, encumbrances, renewals, and servicing.
