Job summary

Trustco Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Ballston Lake, NY to support the Branch Manager, lead daily branch operations, and deliver exceptional customer service to the community.

You will supervise staff, ensure compliance and security, and drive growth through sales initiatives while offering a collaborative banking environment. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred, with full-time hours and some after-hours involvement as needed.

• Proven supervisory and leadership experience
• Strong customer service background
• Cash handling expertise
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English; bilingual a plus
• Access to reliable transportation

• Ability to lift 10–20 lbs., stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operational leadership in the Branch Manager’s absence, overseeing staff and daily operations.
• Supervising Head Teller and Teller teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Building branch brand, promoting sales initiatives, and championing exceptional customer service.
• Engaging with customers and prospects, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Reviewing and approving transactions with accuracy, maintaining policy compliance.
• Striving to meet and exceed branch performance metrics, focusing on controls and security.
• Continuously developing banking knowledge and sales techniques through training.
