Job summary

Trustco Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in daily operations, staff supervision, and delivering exceptional customer service within a warm and secure branch environment.

You will utilize expertise in residential mortgages, IRA services, and personal banking products to tailor client solutions, promote growth, and contribute to community financial well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven supervisory and leadership experience.
• Fluent in English; bilingual a plus.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Well-organized and adept at managing multiple priorities.
• Team-oriented with the ability to thrive in collaborative environments.
• Ability to lift 10–20 lbs., stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: manage staff and day-to-day operations in the Branch Manager's absence.
• Team Supervision: oversee Head Teller and Teller teams with accountability.
• Branch Branding & Growth: promote sales initiatives and establish a strong branch identity.
• Customer Engagement: build relationships with clients and resolve issues to high standards.
• Compliance & Accuracy: review transactions and ensure adherence to policies.
• Performance & Standards: meet branch metrics and maintain controls and security.
• Professional Development: pursue ongoing training and education to enhance banking acumen.
