Job summary

TENCU is seeking an experienced, strategic leader to guide our East Tennessee branch network, elevate member experiences, and drive operational excellence across Cookeville and Johnson City.

As the Director of Branch Operations, you will lead branch teams and Teller Supervisors, develop future leaders, oversee performance, and partner with executive leadership to execute growth strategies and strengthen member relationships.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in a banking or credit union environment.
• Minimum of 3 years in leadership or management roles.
• Strong knowledge of branch operations, deposit services, and retail banking.
• Experience leading teams, coaching employees, and driving performance results.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-performing teams across multiple locations and mentor branch staff.
• Develop and execute branch sales, service strategies, and performance objectives.
• Oversee compliance, audits, security procedures, and internal controls.
• Represent TENCU in the community and promote the credit union's mission and member service excellence.
