Mariner Finance in Morganton, NC is seeking a Branch Associate to provide quality loan service to existing and prospective customers, helping them find loan options that fit their needs.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related experience, willingness to relocate, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to learn lending and policy procedures; insurance licenses may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of related experience in Consumer Lending/Financial Services; military rank may substitute for degree.
• Willingness to relocate and travel to surrounding branches; reliable transportation required.
• Effective communication (written & oral) and personal computer skills.
• Ability to complete essential duties/functions in a timely, accurate manner.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
• Must obtain applicable licenses to sell insurance products offered by the branch.
• Must perform work at the assigned branch location except in emergencies as determined by the company.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality service to existing and prospective loan customers.
• Achieve branch sales goals related to product and service offerings.
• Review and approve loan applications and propose suitable loan solutions.
• Participate in Branch Manager Training Program.
• Assist management with daily tasks to ensure quality customer service.
• Approve policy exceptions with management oversight when appropriate.
• Retain customers by contacting them to cross-sell other financial products.
• Coordinate multiple priorities and assist in information collection and reporting.
• Monitor monthly expenses and support action plans based on the income statement.
• Provide leadership in the branch in the manager’s absence.
• Perform relief assignments across markets as needed.
• Other duties include collecting payments, processing applications, and general branch duties.
