Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply seeks a Branch Manager for Tidewater, Virginia, to build a new market presence from the ground up. You will recruit and coach the founding team, establish operations, and lead sales efforts with a hands-on, startup mindset.

You will own the P&L, develop key customer relationships, and collaborate with HQ to execute the expansion strategy in a fast-growing region.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated management experience in distribution/wholesale.
• Experience opening or growing a branch/territory is a strong plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and onboard the founding Tidewater team.
• Coach and lead the team daily on the sales floor and in the field.
• Establish Shepherd’s presence in southern Virginia and build a sustainable customer book.
• Stand up branch operations including inventory, purchasing, and daily workflow.
• Hit sales targets, manage gross margin, and control expenses at a new location.
