Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Branch Manager for the Tidewater/Southern Virginia market. This startup‑style role asks you to open accounts, hire the initial team, and stand up the systems to run the new location.

You will lead from the front, own the P&L, hit sales targets, and build relationships with contractors while coordinating with regional leadership. The role offers $100,000 annually plus commission and a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. schedule. Onsite presence required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management experience in distribution or wholesale.
• Experience opening or building a branch/territory.
• Electrical product knowledge is a strong plus; willingness to learn.
• Proven track record in sales and relationship building.
• Onsite presence required; this is not a hybrid role.

Responsabilités

• Open and build the Tidewater branch, including recruiting the founding team.
• Coach the team daily on the floor and in the field.
• Set expectations, provide feedback, and address performance issues directly and fairly.
• Establish Shepherd’s presence in southern Virginia and close new business.
• Oversee branch operations, inventory, and P&L.
