Job summary

JJS Group in Fond du Lac, WI seeks an experienced Branch Manager to lead and grow operations at our Fond du Lac facility, overseeing installation, service, dispatch, and logistics while ensuring safety and service quality.

The role requires strong people leadership, financial acumen, and hands-on mechanical/electrical understanding of door and dock equipment, with on-site work and relocation support for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Door & Dock Industry Experience (Required): Proven leadership experience (Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager, or General Manager) within an overhead door, commercial entrance automation, or loading dock equipment company.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of branch P&L, margins, job costing, and labor utilization metrics.
• Field & Technical Competence: Knowledge of sectional doors, rolling steel doors, high-speed fabric doors, dock levelers, and industrial operators.
• People Leadership: Ability to recruit, train, dispatch, and retain field staff.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Direct daily operations across installation, service, and maintenance crews.
• P&L & Financial Management: Manage branch budget, gross margins, labor efficiency, inventory costs, and expenses for profitability.
• Team Development & Mentorship: Lead and mentor lead field technicians, apprentices, dispatch coordinators, and warehouse staff.
• Customer & Commercial Growth: Expand service contracts and installation volume with contractors, logistics hubs, and residential accounts.
• Inventory & Fleet Management: Oversee warehouse logistics, fleet maintenance, parts ordering, and vendor relations.
• Safety & Code Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards, LOTO, equipment training, and quality audits.
