JJS Group in Fond du Lac, WI seeks an experienced Branch Manager to lead and grow operations at our Fond du Lac facility, overseeing installation, service, dispatch, and logistics while ensuring safety and service quality.

The role requires strong people leadership, financial acumen, and hands-on mechanical/electrical understanding of door and dock equipment, with on-site work and relocation support for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Door & Dock Industry Experience (Required): Proven leadership experience (Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager, or General Manager) within an overhead door, commercial entrance automation, or loading dock equipment company.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of branch P&L, margins, job costing, and labor utilization metrics.
• Field & Technical Competence: Knowledge of sectional doors, rolling steel doors, high-speed fabric doors, dock levelers, and industrial operators.
• People Leadership: Ability to recruit, train, dispatch, and retain field staff.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Direct daily operations across installation, service, and maintenance crews.
• P&L & Financial Management: Manage branch budget, gross margins, labor efficiency, inventory costs, and expenses for profitability.
• Team Development & Mentorship: Lead and mentor lead field technicians, apprentices, dispatch coordinators, and warehouse staff.
• Customer & Commercial Growth: Expand service contracts and installation volume with contractors, logistics hubs, and residential accounts.
• Inventory & Fleet Management: Oversee warehouse logistics, fleet maintenance, parts ordering, and vendor relations.
• Safety & Code Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards, LOTO, equipment training, and quality audits.

About the Opportunity

A premier, industry-leading commercial and residential entrance automation, overhead door, and loading dock solutions provider is seeking an experienced, operationally minded Branch Manager to lead and scale operations at their Fond du Lac, WI facility.

In this role, you will hold complete operational and P&L accountability for the branch—directing field installation and service technicians, managing branch dispatch and warehouse logistics, driving regional commercial sales, and upholding uncompromising standards of safety and service quality.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Branch Manager, Operations Manager, or senior Service Manager within the overhead door or loading dock industry who wants full branch ownership, backed by executive leadership and an enterprise-grade corporate support structure.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Direct daily operations across commercial and residential installation, emergency service repair, and preventative maintenance crews.

P&L & Financial Management: Manage the branch budget, gross margins, labor efficiency, inventory holding costs, and operational expenses to achieve targeted profitability.

Team Development & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and hold accountable a multidisciplinary team including lead field technicians, apprentices, dispatch coordinators, and warehouse staff.

Customer & Commercial Growth: Partner with commercial general contractors, industrial logistics hubs, manufacturing facilities, and residential accounts across the Fox Valley and East Central Wisconsin markets to expand service contract and installation volume.

Inventory & Fleet Management: Oversee branch warehouse logistics, commercial vehicle fleet maintenance, parts ordering, and vendor relations (springs, operators, dock levelers, curtain sections).

Safety & Code Compliance: Champion a zero-incident safety culture, enforcing OSHA standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, equipment training (scissor/boom lifts), and rigorous quality control audits.

What We Are Looking For

Door & Dock Industry Experience (Required): Proven leadership experience (Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager, or General Manager) directly within an overhead door, commercial entrance automation, or loading dock equipment company. Candidates without direct industry experience will not be considered.

Business Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of branch P&L mechanics, margin management, job costing, and labor utilization metrics.

Field & Technical Competence: Solid mechanical and electrical comprehension of sectional doors, rolling steel doors, high-speed fabric doors, hydraulic/mechanical dock levelers, and industrial motor operators.

People Leadership: Strong ability to recruit, train, dispatch, and retain top-tier field technicians and support staff.

Location & Mobility: Ability to work on-site in Fond du Lac, WI; full relocation assistance is provided for qualified out-of-area candidates.

Credentials: Valid driver’s license with an insurable motor vehicle record.
