Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Branch Leader to direct the operations of a small Credit Union facility in Alabama. You will oversee lending decisions with authority up to $10,000 unsecured and $50,000 secured, manage branch staff, and drive growth while maintaining compliance and service standards.

You will build community partnerships, review performance, report to the main office, and ensure operations meet budgeted goals. Experience in lending and people management is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1–3 years in similar or related roles.
• Education: a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business/trade school or equivalent training.
• Interpersonal skills: requires trust, diplomacy, and strong relationship-building.
• Physical: light lifting is required.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites consumer loans up to policy limits and approves subordinate decisions; originates and closes real estate loans.
• Hires, trains, coaches, and monitors branch staff; manages resources to meet department needs.
• Maintains communications with main office; submits standard reports and attends management meetings.
• Develops and maintains community and school partnerships; coordinates branch participation in activities.
• Monitors product knowledge and ensures compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Conducts or coordinates weekly sales and service review meetings with staff.
