Job summary

First Financial Credit Union’s Montclair branch is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a team of 3–6 associates, drive service excellence, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. You will open/close the branch, manage daily operations, and guide staff through development plans while upholding security policies and a strong customer focus.

Qualified candidates bring prior branch leadership experience, knowledge of lending processes, and a proven ability to increase sales and member

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• At least two years' experience as a Branch Manager in banking.
• Knowledge of real estate lending and consumer lending helpful.
• Proven track record of increasing sales and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and develops employees to improve cross-selling, sales knowledge, and performance.
• Coaching staff through Personal Development Plans.
• Builds team culture and promotes a positive environment.
• Ensures employee satisfaction and positive team dynamics.
• Recommends hires, terminations, or disciplinary actions.
• Oversees consumer loan funding processes and documentation accuracy.
• Manages branch operations including audits, certifications, ATM, vaults, and cash handling.
• Directs daily branch activities and supervision of staff.
• Determines staffing needs and supports equal employment programs.
• Reviews progress, conducts performance appraisals, and suggests salary adjustments.
• Encourages ongoing staff education and participation in training programs.
• Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies.
• Maintains compliance with BSA and OFAC regulations.
