Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a ProResources Branch Manager to lead a single ProResources branch, driving profitability, safety, sales growth, fleet utilization, and team development.

You will own day-to-day operations, develop local business plans, manage staff, and ensure OSHA/DOT compliance while serving as the link between the branch and Area strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in branch operations, sales leadership, or supervisory management within specialty tools, equipment rental, or related industrial services.
• Prior P&L ownership and demonstrated ability to manage financial performance and lead teams.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active branch/yard environment, including outdoor work and job site conditions.
• Willingness to travel regionally for customer visits and job site support.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L responsibility for the branch, including revenue growth, cost control, and margin performance.
• Develop and execute branch business plans and local sales strategies aligned with Area/Company objectives.
• Lead branch sales efforts and solution-based selling across rentals, sales, services, and logistics; build relationships with key customers, contractors, and Product Support Managers (PSMs).
• Manage day-to-day operations, including equipment readiness, dispatch, delivery/pickup coordination, and yard organization.
• Monitor and optimize fleet utilization, mix, and condition; coordinate fleet additions or disposals.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ASME, DOT, and all regulatory requirements.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop branch staff; conduct performance reviews and succession planning.

Job Purpose

The ProResources Branch Manager is the senior leader, accountable for the overall performance of a single ProResources branch in profitability, safety, sales growth, fleet utilization, and team development. This role leads day-to-day operations of the specialty tools rental business (mechanical, electrical, piping, welding, and hoisting other specialty tools) while serving as the primary link between branch execution and Area strategy.

What you will do...

• Demonstrate active participation in Herc's Safety Culture, prioritizing team member and customer safety at all times
• Own full P&L responsibility for the branch, including revenue growth, cost control, and margin performance
• Develop and execute branch business plans and local sales strategies aligned with Area/Company objectives
• Lead branch sales efforts and solution-based selling across rentals, sales, services, and logistics; build relationships with key customers, contractors, and Product Support Managers (PSMs)
• Manage day-to-day operations, including equipment readiness, dispatch, delivery/pickup coordination, and yard organization
• Monitor and optimize fleet utilization, mix, and condition in partnership with District/Area leadership; coordinate on fleet additions or disposals
• Ensure operational excellence by enforcing branch procedures, policies, and safety standards; ensure compliance with OSHA, ASME, DOT, and all regulatory requirements
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop branch staff (sales, service, and drivers); conduct performance reviews and lead succession planning
• Serve as liaison between the branch and other Herc departments to ensure full understanding of customer needs
• Manage branch inventory, facility upkeep, equipment security, and conduct branch audits and safety meetings
• Utilize company systems (RentalMan, Salesforce, Optimus, On the Go) to manage orders, pricing, scheduling, and reporting
• Resolve customer escalations promptly; prepare and present performance reports to District/Area leadership

Requirements

Pay Range:$85k - $95k Base salary + bonus + company truck
