Job summary

SPEC Building Materials Corporation, a national wholesale distributor of building materials and equipment, is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) in Knoxville, TN. The MIT program covers Customer Service, Counter Sales, Product Training, Inventory and Cost Control, Logistics, and Leadership training to prepare you to run a branch.

Pay is $65,000–$75,000 per year with benefits including 401(k) matching, dental, health and vision insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• BS in Marketing/Sales or Business required.
• Two years of industry experience in building materials.
• Entrepreneurial spirit; self-motivated and enthusiastic about the business.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Legally entitled to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a company-required drug test.
• Read, speak, and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Learn all segments of the business and culture through structured training.
• Participate in Customer Service/Counter Sales and product training.
• Assist with Inventory Management, cost control, and logistics.
• Support branch operations and leadership development.
• Prepare to run a future branch upon successful training.
