Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking an energetic Branch Manager for our Elizabethtown, KY location. The role directs daily sales activities, warehousing, distribution, and production with P&L ownership.

Responsibilities include leading safety initiatives, ensuring cost-effective deliveries, and delivering outstanding customer service via phone, walk-in, and delivery channels. You will analyze monthly financials, drive branch performance, and manage staff to achieve profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities of sales, including counter sales, warehousing, distribution, and production with P&L responsibilities.
• Lead and promote safety; organize safety meetings and enforce safety rules.
• Ensure customer deliveries are dispatched cost-effectively and meet expectations.
• Provide upbeat, tailored customer service via phone, walk-in, and delivery.
• Improve operating income by managing sales, margins, and expenses.
• Review monthly financial statements and adjust for performance.
• Coordinate activities with other branches to resolve issues.
• Complete sales paperwork timely.
• Participate in market information and sales analysis forecasts.
• Hire, train, motivate, and direct branch personnel; provide feedback and development.
• Coordinate promotions and maintain attractive merchandising.
• Maintain a clean and attractive store.
• Conduct performance appraisals.
• Adhere to policies and state/federal regulations.
• Sell profitable growth to new and existing opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
