Airgas Houston is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to work with the Branch Manager, support route drivers, ensure safe distribution, and drive sales growth. You will supervise counter sales and admin tasks, maintain DOT compliance, and partner with HR on staffing and inclusive retention.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in order entry, data research, and basic computer skills to support customers and suppliers.
• Proficiency with truck routing protocols and knowledge of DOT regulations and FDA compliance.
• Experience leading a small team with coaching and performance reviews.
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Branch Manager in coordinating route drivers and customer deliveries.
• Support safety management and regulatory alignment (OSHA, FDA, EPA, DOT).
• Oversee staff development, training, and performance coaching.
• Ensure accurate sales paperwork, inventory and branch shipments.
• Review and process DOT documentation and hours of service.
