Job summary

Mariner Finance is seeking an experienced Lending Branch Specialist to join our team in Pennsylvania. This role combines lending authority with supervisory responsibilities, focusing on loan approvals, customer service, and branch performance.

You will mentor staff, manage accounts, and drive growth through local networking while ensuring compliance and accurate reporting. A Bachelor’s degree and solid MS Office skills are required, with insurance licenses a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in Consumer Lending/Financial Services.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience or completion of a lending training program.
• Bachelor's degree as listed; substitutions may apply.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in MS Office and financial services software.
• Timely and accurate in completing duties.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership in demanding situations.
• Must obtain required licenses to sell insurance products.
• Work at the assigned branch location.

Responsibilities

• Exercise lending authority when reviewing and approving applications and offering loan solutions.
• Manage retention and maintenance of existing accounts to meet branch goals.
• Coach branch staff with actionable feedback to reduce turnover and improve environment.
• Prepare and submit reports reflecting branch activity and growth.
• Develop business by networking with local establishments and building community relations.
• Implement internal branch auditing procedures to control negotiable items and records.
• Approve exceptions to policy as authorized by management.
• Monitor monthly expenses against the annual business plan.
• Investigate and resolve customer and employee inquiries and complaints.
• Attract talent, coordinate and interview candidates, and advise management on vacancies.
• Participate in meetings and professional development activities.
• May perform additional functions as needed (cash handling, etc.).
