Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the branch sales leader, accountable for acquiring, deepening, and retaining customer relationships.
  • Drive growth in primary checking, deposits, lending, credit cards, and investments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing branch team.
  • Establish expectations and manage performance through targeted coaching.
  • Identify customer financial needs and deliver tailored consumer and business solutions.
  • Use branch manager routines, observation, feedback, and follow-up to improve capability, confidence, and productivity.
  • Partner with Wealth & Investment Management, Business Banking, and Home Lending sales partners.
  • Educate customers about digital banking options.
  • Analyze reporting and employee observations to improve team performance and expand relationships and wallet share.
  • Balance growth, operational soundness, and talent decisions while managing risk and resolving issues.
  • Complete the Branch Manager Readiness Program before transitioning into the Branch Manager position, unless already serving as a Wells Fargo Branch Manager.

Requirements


  • 5+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education

  • 2+ years of leadership experience

  • Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop sales professionals and direct reports

  • Ability to lead a customer-focused sales culture and drive measurable growth

  • Ability to analyze performance and execute action plans

  • Experience managing and coaching across affluent, high net worth, and business customer segments

  • Ability to lead teams in influencing, educating, and connecting customers to technology

  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, compliance controls, operational risk management, and loss prevention

  • Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays

  • Ability to travel in assigned geography up to 50% of the time during the first 6 months and before placement in a specific branch

  • SAFE registration required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after start date

  • Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background

  • Subject to credit report review and additional ongoing screening

  • Not eligible for Visa sponsorship
