AKHIRE, INC in Fairbanks, Alaska is recruiting for a Branch Manager. The role focuses on inventory control, P&L management, and customer-facing duties within a retail and industrial setting.

This permanent position offers a salary between 75,000 and 95,000 USD per year plus bonuses. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with full benefits discussed during hiring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (higher education degree preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in industrial retail, inside sales, customer service or inventory control.
• Knowledge of welding industry preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee branch inventory, cycle counts, showroom and warehouse appearance.
• Manage P&L goals and objectives for the branch location.
• Assist outside salespersons in quoting and customer follow ups.
• Maintain selling skills and product knowledge for the branch.
• Provide backup support to sales representatives with order entry and inquiries.
• Oversee daily cash/credit orders and daily reconciliations.
• Lead associate training and day-to-day operations including compliance and warehousing.
• Manage work hours, overtime, and budgeted hours.
• Oversee truck distribution, maintenance and DOT compliance.

Job Duties - Branch Manager

• Manages and oversees the branch inventory, daily inventory cycle counts and maintains showroom and warehouse appearance.
  
• Responsible for managing P&L goals and objectives for the branch location.
  
• Assists outside salespersons in quoting and customer follow ups
  
• Maintains and upgrades selling skills and technical/product knowledge for the branch.
  
• Provides backup support to sales representatives with order entry and customer inquiries.
  
• Oversees reoccurring orders process for the branch on a daily basis.
  
• Posts daily cash and charge orders for all tickets.
  
• Manages daily reconciliation of cash and bank deposits.
  
• Manages associate training
  
• Provides leadership and management direction to associates with day-to-day operations of the retail store including compliance, retail sales, warehousing and distribution.
  
• Manages work hours and approves overtime in the timekeeping system. Responsible for maintaining hours within the established budget.
  
• Responsible for managing truck distribution, maintenance, and DOT Compliance.
