Job summary

Orange County OC Public Libraries seeks a Librarian II to oversee daily branch operations and contribute to systemwide planning. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and coordinate programs, collection development, and community outreach.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of professional librarian experience and strong leadership, customer service, and data-driven decision making skills. Some weekend/evening work and location rotations may be required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional librarian experience.
• Experience supervising or leading library staff preferred.
• Familiarity with budget planning and program development helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a branch library or assist in a Tier 4 library leadership role.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff and volunteers; schedule staff and programs.
• Plan goals, assess community needs, and coordinate collections, publicity, and partnerships.
