Job summary

Woodforest National Bank is seeking a Branch Manager I for our Illinois-Kankakee location. You will lead the branch as a business owner, driving performance, deposits, and customer relationships while upholding our values of Ownership, Service, Community, and Integrity.

You will engage customers and teammates daily, develop strategic partnerships, coach staff, and ensure compliant, efficient branch operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive banking, sales, or customer service experience and 1 year leadership experience.
• Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with 3 years of progressive banking, sales, or customer service experience.
• Successful completion of the Branch Manager in Training (MIT) program and minimum 6 months of applied MIT experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the branch as a business owner - driving performance, managing resources, and long-term growth.
• Lead with accountability, achieving sales goals and measuring results.
• Manage branch operations including compliance, security, cash handling, and expenses.
• Deliver exceptional service and grow client relationships; promote lending and wealth referrals.
• Lead community outreach and partnerships to deepen local connections.
