Job summary

WaFd Bank is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a busy branch and drive growth with a focus on small business development, deposits and loan originations. You will coach staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional customer service to strengthen community financial health.

The role requires 5+ years in banking, including supervisory experience, and a strong track record in cross-selling and relationship management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field.
• 5+ years in banking, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role; prior sales or client relations experience, preferred.
• Proven success in small business development, deposit/loan growth, and cross-selling.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and operational procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), keyboarding, and digital banking tools.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to be bonded.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and sales, particularly with small businesses, while growing deposits, originating loans, and expanding client relationships through cross-selling additional services.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team to achieve growth goals, deliver outstanding customer service, and ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
• Meet performance metrics and production goals.
• Coach, motivate, mentor and provide feedback to staff.
• Ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
