Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Newbury Park, California is seeking a Head Universal Banker to lead the branch team, provide exceptional service, and drive both service and sales outcomes. You will coach Universal Bankers and Tellers, champion risk controls, and guide complex transactions with a customer‑first mindset.

You will actively promote digital tools, educate clients on self‑service channels, and ensure a consistent, high‑quality client experience in line with Citi standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with face-to-face customer service, digital engagement and basic sales/referrals.
• Open, client service orientation and desire to help customers is required.
• Sales experience desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Basic computer and digital tools skills.
• Preferred Skills: Retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support Universal Bankers and Tellers by modeling service behaviors and mentoring on sales.
• Guide clients and team members in the branch, handling complex transactions and exceptional experience.
• Champion risk and control, monitor operations, and ensure policy compliance.
• Promote products/services and educate clients on digital channels (Online/Mobile/ATM).
• Act as SME for the branch; adapt to coverage needs and lead by example.
• Provide coaching on digital capabilities and streamline sales/service processes.
• Resolve client issues promptly and maintain high client satisfaction.
