Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking an experienced executive leader to serve as Executive Director, reporting to the Group Vice President. The role requires strong staff supervision, program development, fiscal management, fundraising, and community engagement to advance the Y's impact across Atlanta.

Responsibilities include driving strategic initiatives, managing operations, and developing external partnerships while ensuring high-quality facilities and programs aligned with the Y

Qualifications

• 8+ years of leadership experience or 12+ years with a high school diploma.
• 2+ years of experience managing large teams at an executive level/senior management position.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations, corporations, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Establish a culture of quality and service meeting strategic plan goals.
• Represents and promotes the Y in the local community through strategic relationships.
• Develop and monitor a balanced operating budget to meet targets.
• Direct member engagement strategies and measure program impact.
• Mentor branch staff and volunteers to reach professional goals.
• Ensure safety certifications and facility standards are maintained.
• Lead fundraising initiatives including the Why It Matters Annual Giving Campaign and campaign leadership.
