Job summary

Woodforest National Bank in Texas-Humble is seeking a Retail Branch Manager I to drive consumer and business relationships and lead the branch team to deliver the Woodforest Experience day to day.

The role focuses on achieving sales goals, fostering community engagement, and coaching staff to excel, with travel up to 50% and on-site leadership. The position reports to the local branch leadership and serves the Houston area.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant and transferrable sales and/or customer service experience.
• OR a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant and transferrable sales and/or customer service experience.
• 1 year of experience leading and directing the activities of a sales team is required.
• Individuals with this level of experience typically report to an on-site manager; will mentor or lead a team of more junior staff but do not typically have formal management responsibility for personnel decisions.
• Previous instore banking experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve branch sales and revenue goals by marketing banking products and services.
• Create energy around Woodforest culture and branch objectives.
• Recruit, train, retain and motivate staff to drive profitability and growth.
• Develop strategies to grow consumer and business relationships.
• Grow deposits and loans through inside and outside calling.
• Enhance customer experience by greeting, engaging, and developing relationships.
• Embrace technology driven customer experience.
• Lead community engagement with the Community Development Relationship Manager.
• Inspire and lead team members to reach full potential.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
