Job summary

Onyett is seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to form steel parts using brake press equipment. You will set up tooling, load programs, read blueprints, and monitor forming operations to ensure parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities include inspecting finished pieces, performing routine maintenance, and maintaining a safe, clean work area in compliance with safety regulations. Forklift operation and material handling are also required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up tooling, load programs and configure machine parameters for forming operations.
• Inspect finished parts and verify conformance with standards using measuring tools.
• Operate forklift for material handling and ensure safe lifting of parts and inventory.
• Adhere to safety regulations, maintain clean work areas and follow proper lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Select proper tooling and dies based on material thickness and type.
• Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters for optimal performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances and setup requirements.
• Measure and mark dimensions on material to guide forming process.
• Adjust controls to regulate forming factors and check for malfunctions.
• Verify finished parts against specifications using inspection tools.
• Perform trial runs and routine maintenance on machines.
• Maintain safe work practices and clean, orderly work areas.
