Job summary

KMC Stampings in Port Washington, WI is seeking a Brake Press Setup/Operator to set up and operate brake presses and punch presses to form and bend a variety of materials. You will ensure part quality and efficiency in a fast-paced shop environment.

The position requires regular attendance, strong attention to detail, physical stamina to lift up to 40 pounds, and the ability to work overtime as needed. Previous press brake experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.
• Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls.
• Vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Occasionally required to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Frequently required to lift/move up to 40 pounds; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate brake press and punch press to form and bend parts.
• Set up dies and gauges; adjust ram stroke for proper angles and radii.
• Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates.
• Use scales, protractors, gauges to ensure accuracy.
• Sort and package parts; verify quantity and quality of material.
• Move raw materials between production areas; operate overhead crane as needed.
