Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking hands-on brake press operators capable of rapid tooling setup and changeovers to support high production quotas. The role emphasizes accurate forming, error troubleshooting, and minimizing scrap in a Lawrenceburg, TN facility with early morning shifts.

Candidates should be adept at selecting dies and punches, adjusting setups, and maintaining uptime to meet daily production goals. Prior experience with press brakes and safety compliance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up brake presses and tooling.
• Ability to read job orders and material specs.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure correct bend angles.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently select, install, and adjust tooling (dies and punches) in the press brake based on material thickness, bend angle, and desired form.
• Perform quick and accurate machine setups and changeovers between different production runs.
• Operate the brake press to form sheet metal components and parts according to job specifications and work orders.
• Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot potential forming errors (warping, cracking, or incorrect angles), and adjust the program or setup.
• Minimize material scrap by carefully managing material handling and operating the machine accurately from the first bend.
