Tappwfs in El Paso, TX is seeking a Brake Press Operator for a Monday–Friday 1st shift. You will program the machine from blueprint details, set up tooling, and inspect parts to ensure precision. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and ownership of the bending process from plan to first-off parts.

You will read blueprints, create bending programs, and verify dimensions during in-process inspections. Weekend overtime may be available based on demand, and the schedule keeps your afternoons free.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years brake press operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Mansioni

• Operate a hydraulic brake press and enter programs directly into the machine from blueprint specifications.
• Set up tooling by selecting, loading, and aligning punches and dies for each job.
• Create bending programs using blueprint details, bend deductions, and required angles or offsets.
• Perform first-off and in-process inspections to verify accuracy and conformance to specs.
• Verify part dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Perform routine machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication and checking machine condition.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor to prevent downtime and maintain safety.
