Job summary

TAPP Workforce Solutions is seeking a Brake Press Operator for the 3rd shift in El Paso, TX. You will program, set up, and run a hydraulic brake press from blueprint specs, with Monday to Friday nights 10:00 PM–6:30 AM; weekend overtime only if desired.

You’ll own setup, programming, inspection, and basic maintenance, ensuring parts meet specs with a strong safety focus. This role emphasizes reading blueprints, calculating bend deductions and offsets, and aligning dies and tooling to produce

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required
1–2 years of brake press operation experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Good understanding of machining processes
Ability to take accurate measurements with calipers and tape measures
Knowledge of first-off and in-process inspections
Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment
Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions
Strong attention to detail and safety mindset
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs

Responsibilities

Operate a hydraulic brake press and enter programs from blueprint specifications
Set up tooling, punches, and dies for each job
Create bending programs using blueprint details and required angles
Perform first-off and in-process inspections to ensure part accuracy
Verify part dimensions using inspection tools and tape measures
Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and monitor machine condition
Report equipment issues to supervisor to prevent downtime
Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized and document entries
