Job description

Program, set up, and run a hydraulic brake press on a steady Monday to Friday overnight shift, where your blueprint skills drive every part.

09th October, 2026
Brake Press Operator | 3rd Shift | Monday to Friday

Program, set up, and run a hydraulic brake press on a steady Monday to Friday overnight shift, where your blueprint skills drive every part.
Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with weekend overtime only if you want it.
A skilled role where you program the machine yourself, straight from the blueprint.
A team that puts safety, quality, and accuracy first.
Know your way around a brake press and prefer working nights? This position puts you in charge of the whole process, from reading the blueprint and building the bend program to setting up tooling and inspecting the first part off the machine. With a consistent Monday to Friday 3rd shift, your days stay open, and your weekends stay yours unless you choose to pick up extra hours.
You’ll enter programs directly into the machine based on blueprint specifications, calculate bend deductions, angles, and offsets, and select and align the right punches and dies for each job. Then you’ll verify your work with first-off and in-process inspections so every part meets spec.
This is precision work for someone who takes pride in getting it right the first time. Your attention to detail and your care for the equipment keep production moving safely and on time.

Why This Opportunity Is Different

Plenty of operator roles have you running programs someone else wrote. Here, you build the bending programs yourself using blueprint details, bend deductions, and required angles or offsets, so your technical skill is put to real use every shift. You own setup, programming, inspection, and basic maintenance, which means more responsibility and more chances to show what you can do. With an overnight schedule that frees up your days and voluntary weekend overtime, you decide how your time and your extra earnings work for you.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operate a hydraulic brake press, entering programs directly into the machine based on blueprint specifications
  • Set up equipment by selecting, loading, and aligning the right punches and dies for each job
  • Create bending programs using bend deductions, blueprint details, and required angles or offsets
  • Perform first-off and in-process inspections to verify accuracy and make sure parts meet specifications
  • Verify part dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other inspection tools
  • Handle routine basic maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and monitoring machine condition
  • Report equipment issues to your supervisor right away to prevent downtime and keep the area safe
  • Keep the processing area clean, safe, and orderly, and complete all required information entry accurately
