Martinrea Industrial is seeking Brake Press Operators to produce parts and assemblies that meet customer requirements for quality and output in a safe environment. You will set up and operate brake presses, inspect parts, and document production data.

The role requires the ability to read drawings, use measuring tools, and lift up to 50 lbs. You will work in a fast-paced plant, follow health and safety rules, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications.
  • Experience with metal fabrication is an asset.
  • Ability to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring tools.
  • Capable to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to table level.
  • Mathematical aptitude.

Responsabilités

  • Program, set up machines to meet customer requirements in output and quality.
  • Assure that 1st off/1st Part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Bend parts according to provided drawings and specifications.
  • Completion of data entry and/or paperwork as required.
  • Interface with Quality and Engineering.
  • Maintain proper Martinrea housekeeping standards.
  • Must notify lead hand and/or supervisors of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment or work practices.
  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers.

Required Education & Experience
  • Experience with Metal Fabrication an asset
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Ability to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring tools
  • Ability to identify and change Brake Press tools
  • Ability to work independently or with supervision
  • Capable to lift up to 50lbs from ground to table level
  • Mathematical aptitude
Essential Functions/Competency Level
  • Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Martinrea Industrial rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as required by Martinrea
  • Must ensure machine safety rules are followed (light curtains, guarding, etc.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided
  • Assure that 1st off/1st Part is inspected and meets Quality Assurance requirements
  • Bend parts according to provided drawings and specifications
  • Completion of data entry and/or paperwork as required

  • Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook

  • Working in a plant environment
  • Frequent distractions and interruptions
  • Multiple demands, challenging, fast paced, team orientated environment, can be noisy
Physical Demands
  • Constant standing, walking, bending and lifting (light to heavy) and climbing
  • Warm/Cold temperatures
  • Communication with Lead Hand, Supervisors and Management
  • Overtime as required
Health & Safety
  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
