Job summary

Martinrea Industrial Brake Press Operators are responsible for producing parts and assemblies that meet customer quality and output standards in a safe environment. The role involves reading drawings, setting up brake presses, inspecting first pieces, and bending parts per specifications.

Candidates should read blueprints, use measuring tools, and perform math tasks while adhering to Health & Safety rules and company policies. This is a hands-on, plant-based position likely in Riverside, MO.

Qualifications

• Experience with Metal Fabrication an asset.
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to use Tape Measure, Vernier and other measuring tools.
• Ability to identify and change Brake Press tools.
• Ability to work independently or with supervision.
• Capable to lift up to 50lbs from ground to table level.
• Mathematical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
• Must ensure machine safety rules are followed (light curtains, guarding, etc.).
• Ensure all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided.
• Inspect 1st off/1st part to meet QA requirements.
• Bend parts according to drawings and specifications.
• Complete data entry and paperwork as required.
• Program and set up machines to meet customer requirements in output and quality.
• Interface with Quality and Engineering.
