Job summary

Les Schwab Brake & Alignment Technician position provides service and installation of brake, alignment and suspension components to ensure vehicle safety and performance. You will assist customers, operate service vehicles, and complete tasks with on-the-job training.

Starting pay ranges from $16.50 to $28.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package available after eligibility and as per company policy.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs, occasional up to 75 lbs.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and standing; reach and walk as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems, suspension, alignment, drive train and power steering parts.
• Test and install vehicle batteries.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, replace or recalibrate TPMS.
• Utilize hand tools and shop equipment to complete tasks.
• Assist other technicians and test drive vehicles.
• Operate service vehicles for offsite and emergency road calls.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to other qualified staff.

Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• testing and installing batteries
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• assisting other employees
• test driving vehicles
• and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.
• Provides excellent customer service
• refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary
