Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician in Covington, WA. You will install and service brake, alignment, suspension, and drivetrain components, test batteries, and perform tire work while delivering excellent customer service and supporting on-site and off-site service requests.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift heavy loads, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, suspension, alignment, and drivetrain parts.
• Test and install batteries.
• Dismount/mount tires and wheels; rebalance and calibrate TPMS.
• Use shop tools and equipment; assist teammates.
• Test drive vehicles and provide roadside/offsite services.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers as needed.

Brake & Alignment Technician

Brake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.

Primary Responsibilities

• Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components
• testing and installing batteries
• dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components
• using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools
• assisting other employees
• test driving vehicles
• and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.
• Provides excellent customer service
• refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary

Experience

Pay and Benefits
