Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers in Hillsboro, Oregon, is seeking a Brake & Alignment Technician to service brake, alignment, suspension, and related drive-train components, while delivering courteous, professional customer service.

You will dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, test drive vehicles, and assist with TPMS calibration, batteries, and offsite road service. On-the-job training is provided in a fast-paced environment with safety and conduct standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license required.
• Excellent customer service in a rapid pace environment.
• Frequent lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Frequent bending, twisting and standing.

Responsibilities

• Install or service hydraulic/electric brake systems and components.
• Test drive vehicles and perform offsite service as needed.
• Dismount/mount tires, rebalance wheels, and adjust TPMS components.
• Assist other technicians and maintain safety standards.

Job Description:Brake & Alignment TechnicianBrake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.Primary Responsibilities:Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.; Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.Experience:Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.Qualifications:Valid driver's license; excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment; frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.Pay and Benefits:$16.50 - $26.45For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:Quarterly BonusMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceCompany-funded retirement planPaid time offShort- and long-term disabilityEmployee discountTuition AssistanceBenefits are subject to change at any time and governed by plan documents and Company policy.
