Job summary

Les Schwab Tire Centers is seeking Brake & Alignment Technicians to install and service brake, alignment, and suspension components with a focus on customer service. Responsibilities include testing vehicles, servicing tires, and calibrating TPMS while working with hand tools and service equipment.

Qualified applicants will have a valid driver's license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; physical requirements include lifting up to 75 lbs and frequent bending.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.

• Physical requirements: frequent lifting up to 35 lbs, occasional up to 75 lbs; bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting.
• Ability to work with hand tools and service equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install or service brake, alignment, suspension, drive train, and power steering components.
• Test drive vehicles and perform offsite/emergency road service as needed.
• Dismount/mount tire and wheel assemblies, rebalance wheels, calibrate TPMS components.
• Provide excellent customer service and refer customers to qualified colleagues when appropriate.

Job Description:Brake & Alignment TechnicianBrake & Alignment Technicians are responsible for the service and installation of brake, alignment, and suspension system parts and components, providing excellent customer service and completing work according to company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.Primary Responsibilities:Installing or servicing hydraulic/electric brake system, suspension, alignment, drive train, and power steering parts and components; testing and installing batteries; dismounting/mounting tire and wheel assemblies, rebalancing wheels, and replacing, rebuilding and/or recalibrating TPMS components; using equipment and miscellaneous hand tools; assisting other employees; test driving vehicles; and operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services.; Provides excellent customer service; refers customers to other qualified employees as necessary.Experience:Les Schwab offers opportunities for a variety of skills, and provides on-the job training for Brake & Alignment Technicians.Qualifications:Valid driver's license; excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a rapid pace environment; frequent lifting up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and continuous squatting, reaching, walking and standing.Pay and Benefits:$14.85 - $24.50For full time positions after eligibility criteria are met, benefits include:Quarterly BonusMedical, dental, vision, and life insuranceCompany-funded retirement planPaid time offShort- and long-term disabilityEmployee discountTuition AssistanceBenefits are subject to change at any time and governed by plan documents and Company policy.
