Job summary

The Allen Institute in Seattle is seeking a Scientific Project and Alliance Manager to drive multiple Brain Science projects from planning through execution.

You will partner with scientific co-leads, cross-functional teams, and external collaborators to deliver milestones, manage budgets, and develop competitive funding applications. This hybrid role offers relocation assistance and opportunities to advance discovery in neuroscience.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biological sciences, with Neuroscience preference, or equivalent combination
• Minimum 1 year PM experience beyond academia for PhD holders; minimum 6 years for MS holders
• Proficient with project management and collaboration software tools
• Experience with fiscal management of projects

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for several Brain Science projects with senior co-leads
• Coordinate cross-functional teams through project life cycle
• Plan and organize internal and external meetings with agendas and outcomes
• Develop deliverables and timelines using PM best practices
• Contribute to project budgets and resource forecasting
• Support external funding applications and grants management
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on timelines and data needs
• Prepare for internal and external project reviews
