Job summary

Allen Institute is a leader in open science and translational research, seeking a Senior Director of Scientific Alliances & Partnerships to build and scale external collaborations for the Brain Health Accelerator. You will shape strategy, form multi-stakeholder alliances, and guide program development to translate discovery into impact.

Role requires PhD-level scientific fluency, the ability to lead across a matrixed organization, and proven success in managing complex partnerships with

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent scientific experience.
• Significant leadership experience in complex biomedical research environments.
• Proven track record of multi-institutional scientific partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Shape BHA’s partnership strategy and external ecosystem; identify external capabilities and partners.
• Cultivate and build partnerships and steward strategic scientific alliances; governance and collaboration models.
• Develop new collaborative programs and funding strategies; pursue grants, philanthropic gifts, sponsorships, and other models.
• Build partnerships connecting discovery to translation; engage industry, translational scientists, funders and partners.
• Define and lead alliance management capabilities; establish cross-functional structures for a growing portfolio.
