Job summary

Vinfen in Massachusetts seeks a dedicated residential support worker to empower individuals with brain injuries to live independently within their communities. You will support daily living, social integration, and targeted rehabilitation within a safe, person-centered program.

Responsibilities include planning social activities, facilitating community access, promoting self-advocacy, and coordinating with nurses and case managers.

Qualifications

• Typical Requirements: One or more years of experience and/or training in a related function preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Driving is required for this position with Vinfen vehicles or personal vehicle; valid license, insurance, and clean record needed.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and assist with daily living activities; physical effort described.

Responsibilities

• Assists individuals to integrate into communities and maintain friendships.
• Help access community-based support and resources.
• Plan recreational and social activities promoting inclusion and well-being.
• Empower individuals to make choices and be actively involved in decisions.
• Assist with medication management per MAP requirements and policies.
• Maintain records and progress notes; document incidents and programs.
• Provide shift coverage as needed; train and support staff in safety practices.
