Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Sioux Falls Downtown is seeking part-time banquet service team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience during events. You will greet guests, assist with food and beverage service, and help maintain tables and stations throughout weddings and corporate meetings.

Hourly wage plus tips applies, with benefits such as PTO and bonus plans offered based on hours worked. The role requires energy, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work well both independently

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
• Lift up to 50 lb.
• Detail oriented.
• Customer service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests cheerfully and make food and drink suggestions.
• Prepare and clean tables, replenish condiments and utensils, assist with dishwashing and dining/kitchen cleanup.
• Anticipate guest needs and communicate dietary accommodations or requests clearly.
• Ensure timely delivery of courses according to the fixed menu sequence and presentation standards.
• Manage multiple tables or guest groups efficiently without compromising service.
• Handle service equipment safely (trays, carts, beverage stations).
• Adapt to pace and style of events from weddings to corporate meetings.

Role Summary: Delivers an exceptional guest experience that ensures all guest needs are exceeded. Creates a positive environment and works closely with all hotel team members. Performs all tasks in an efficient and timely manner to meet required administrative responsibilities.

• Cheerfully greet, interact with guests, including making food and drink suggestions.
• Prepare and clean tables, replenishing condiments and utensils. Assist with dishwashing, dining room, and kitchen cleanup.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or special considerations. Communicate clearly with guests about dishes, including any dietary accommodations or special requests.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of courses according to the fixed menu sequence. Master the fixed menu items, including ingredients, portioning, and presentation.
• Manage multiple tables or guest groups efficiently without compromising service quality.
• Handle all service equipment safely, including trays, carts, and beverage stations.
• Adapt to the pace and style of different events, from formal weddings to corporate meetings.
