Job summary

Hegg Companies in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking part-time banquet servers to deliver an exceptional guest experience at our Hilton Garden Inn Sioux Falls Downtown events. You will greet guests, assist with food and beverage service, and support kitchen and dining staff to ensure smooth service.

This role offers hourly pay with tips, flexible hours, and opportunities to work on weddings, corporate events, and other occasions.

Qualifications

• Ability to be on feet for up to 8 hours.
• Lift up to 50 lb.
• Detail oriented.
• Customer service experience helpful.
• Works well alone and with others.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and interact politely, including suggesting food and drink options.
• Prepare and clean tables, replenish condiments and utensils; assist with dishwashing and dining room/kitchen cleanup.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or special considerations; communicate clearly about dishes and dietary requests.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of courses according to the fixed menu sequence; know menu items, ingredients, portions and presentation.
• Manage multiple tables or guest groups efficiently without compromising service quality.
• Handle service equipment safely (trays, carts, beverage stations).
• Adapt to the pace and style of events from weddings to corporate meetings.

Role Summary: Delivers an exceptional guest experience that ensures all guest needs are exceeded. Creates a positive environment and works closely with all hotel team members. Performs all tasks in an efficient and timely manner to meet required administrative responsibilities.

• Cheerfully greet, interact with guests, including making food and drink suggestions.
• Prepare and clean tables, replenishing condiments and utensils. Assist with dishwashing, dining room, and kitchen cleanup.
