Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois State Teaching Certificate (Type 03, 09, or 10) OR ASEP/NFHS Certification.
• CPR/AED certification as mandated by IHSA.
• IHSA-concussion training completed.
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance.
• Title IX training completed.
• Prior successful coaching experience in basketball.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to an inclusive athletic program.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Head Coach to design drills, practices, and conditioning sessions.
• Provide individualized feedback on technique and effort.
• Assist with game-day logistics, equipment setup, and scorekeeping.
• Maintain and inventory athletic equipment.
• Monitor adherence to IHSA rules and safety protocols.
• Support athlete eligibility tracking and required documentation.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Assist with schedule development and travel logistics.
• Aid in budget tracking and program materials.
