Job summary

The Seattle Times seeks a dependable Box Truck and Utility Driver to support the Operations team in Seattle and Kent. You will transport completed products, mail, and interoffice materials between locations and post offices, log routes, and help maintain company vehicles.

Requires a valid WA driver’s license, box truck experience, and strong attention to detail. This union-represented position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid Washington State driver’s license (Class D) is required.
• Experience driving a box truck is required.
• Clean driving record for the past three years with no at-fault accidents; ability and willingness to provide a driving abstract.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and external vendors.
• Ability to safely use loading equipment such as pallet jacks and lift gates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products and mail between locations and post offices.
• Maintain daily delivery logs and miles traveled.
• Load/unload with pallet jack and lift gate as needed.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with internal teams and external vendors.
• Monitor and report vehicle maintenance needs and fuel levels.
