Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Illinois is seeking a Donor Box Truck Driver Specialist who will operate mobile routes, ensure donor safety, and deliver excellent service to donors and staff. You will collaborate with a dedicated team, maintain vehicle readiness, and support phlebotomy operations as needed.

The role emphasizes safe driving, equipment setup, and compliance with regulatory guidelines, with opportunities for additional bilingual bonus and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 years of relevant people-facing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT guidelines and safety regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Follows all DOT guidelines when operating the vehicle and safely transports staff and supplies.
• Prepares collection site and sets up equipment and technology as needed.
• Performs donor screening, including histories, mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
• Provides outstanding donor experience with professional, empathetic service.
