Job summary

The City of Aspen is seeking a Box Office Representative I-II for Wheeler Opera House (Aspen Show Tix). This intermittent, part-time role supports ticketing, event operations, and customer service under supervision. Level II offers more responsibility and mentoring of staff.

Position requires evening and weekend availability, 2+ years in customer service, and a Colorado driver’s license for off-site duties. Opportunities to advance with experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: 2+ years in customer service; box office/live venue preferred.
• Technical: Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook; basic web platform knowledge.
• Licenses: Colorado driver’s license for off-site box office operations within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date event details, communicate availability, pricing and seating clearly.
• Troubleshoot patron issues (seating conflicts, reprints, exchanges, payments) with escalation when needed.
• Reconcile cash drawers; assist with deposits and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with reporting, ticketing needs and event prep (will-call, signage, front-of-house).
• Support off-site box office operations and transport equipment as needed.
• Mentor Representative I staff during shifts; verify promotions and pricing with campaigns.
