Description

The Box Office Manager reports to the General Manager, Liz Uchtman, and Festival Producer, Julia Mendes. The role involves managing ticket sales operations, overseeing CRM systems, and providing excellent customer service during the festival period.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all ticket sale operations across venues using the CRM system, Cue Box, including creating and implementing ticketed performance series.
  2. Undertake CRM training and development as required.
  3. Oversee seat holds related to comps, press/industry lists, VIPs, and development holds.
  4. Sell tickets in person, via phone, and email, and manage ticket exchanges during the festival.
  5. Respond promptly to ticketing inquiries and messages.
  6. Attend daily virtual production check-ins during the festival and report to staff.
  7. Coordinate with Cue Box Support to develop reports and platform changes supporting operational objectives.
  8. Shape the Festival’s customer care policy to ensure a welcoming experience for patrons.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ticketing systems (Cue Box preferred, training possible).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of box office experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during the festival.

Term and Festival Dates:

  • September 1, 2025 – January 23, 2026
  • Festival: January 7–18, 2026

Workload:

  • Part-time with flexible hours from September to December, increasing workload leading up to the festival.
  • Full-time during festival dates in January 2026.
