Job summary

Viejas Outlet Center is seeking an organized Bowling Center Assistant Manager to support the Bowling Center Manager with supervision, training, and scheduling. You will help coach staff, ensure safety and hygiene standards, and maintain exceptional guest service at the venue.

Responsibilities include cash handling, lane supervision, and coordination with bar/kitchen operations, with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food Handler’s Certificate required.
• California Responsible Beverage Service Training and Certification required upon hire.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and values teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with scheduling, training, documenting disciplinary issues, coaching, and counseling staff.
• Provide effective leadership within the department and address team member issues.
• Monitor and provide feedback on the achievement of performance objectives.
• Build customer relations by soliciting feedback and addressing customer complaints.
• Oversee duties of Bowling Center Staff, including cash handling and lane assignments.
• Ensure strict food and beverage controls and current Food Handler certification.
• Communicate needs for supplies to management and prepare staff schedules two weeks in advance.
• Maintain logs for cash variance and monthly POS/receipt records.
• Establish guest-friendly atmosphere and remain aligned with Viejas guest service standards.
• Adhere to hygiene, safety standards, policies, and SOPs.
