Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno is seeking a friendly cashier team member to process guest payments and balance cash drawers, supporting smooth hotel operations.

You will handle cash, credit card, room charges and comp slips, post tips, and maintain accurate records while delivering courteous service to guests.

A minimum age of 16 and ability to work varied shifts are required; previous cashiering experience is preferred, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and basic math accuracy required.
• Professional appearance and courteous interaction with guests.
• Ability to operate a cash register, adding machine/calculator, telephone, and card machine.

Responsibilities

• Process guest payments via cash, credit cards, room charges, or special billing.
• Record financial data and control the issue and return of guest checks.
• Receive payments and balance transactions; make deposits and bank drops as needed.
• Post and payout tips; create and settle checks and comps; run tapes for charges.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas.
• Assist with answering basic pinsetter machine calls.
• Interact with co-workers and guests in a professional and polite manner.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
