Job summary

The Hay-Adams, located in Washington, DC, is seeking staff for In-Room Dining night shift to provide exceptional guest service and deliver food and beverages to guest rooms in accordance with the Hay Adams standards.

Responsibilities include taking orders, processing payments, restocking trolleys, and coordinating breakfast preorders with the kitchen. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with English language proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Respect guest privacy and property following all hotel guest service procedures and quality standards.
• Accurately take orders directly from patrons requesting In-Room Dining by following established standards.
• Post orders in Micros and issue a guest check for each order. Total bills and accept payment.
• Prepare ordered food and beverage. Deliver to guest rooms with correct condiments and garnishes.
• Clean and restock service items and reset In-Room Dining trolleys.
• Pick up In-Room Dining trolleys and remove dirty dishes from guest floors and hallways.
• Collect breakfast preorders and relay orders to the kitchen.
• Prepare mise-en-place and conduct side work for the breakfast shift.
